Before you open a browser tab, make sure you have the following ready. Having everything prepared means you will not need to pause halfway through.
A valid email address. This will be your login and the address where Blockforia sends account notifications. Use one you actively check.
A government-issued ID. Either a passport or a national identity card. You will need to photograph or scan it as part of identity verification. The document must be valid, not expired.
A Visa or Mastercard card. Debit or credit, in your own name. Cards issued by Bulgarian banks work. The card needs to be enabled for online payments, which most cards are by default. If yours has online payments disabled, enable it through your bank’s app before you start.
Five to ten minutes. Realistically, the process takes around ten minutes from opening the registration page to seeing Bitcoin in your wallet. Having the ID and card ready before you start makes the process smooth without interruptions.
You do not need any prior knowledge of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, or blockchain. You do not need any separate wallet software. Everything is handled inside Blockforia.
Go to Blockforia.com and click Register.
You will be asked for:
Choose a strong password. Do not use a password you use elsewhere. If you use a password manager, generate a new one now. If you do not use a password manager, consider starting. The security of your account protects the Bitcoin inside it.
After submitting your email, check your inbox for a verification email from Blockforia. Click the link inside to confirm your address. This step confirms that you own the email account and prevents anyone else from registering with your address.
Once confirmed, your Blockforia account is created and you can log in.
This is the step most first-time buyers are unsure about. It sounds more complicated than it is.
Blockforia is a regulated platform operating under EU anti-money laundering rules. All regulated financial platforms in Europe are required by law to verify the identity of their users before allowing transactions. This is not specific to Blockforia. It applies to every bank, broker, and regulated exchange operating in the EU.
The verification process on Blockforia uses digital ID solutions including MitID, BankID, Sofort, and others. Depending on which method you choose, the process differs slightly but the outcome is the same: your identity is confirmed and your account is cleared for purchasing.
What the verification checks:
What verification does not mean:
Most verifications are approved automatically within minutes. In some cases there may be a short manual review. If your verification is taking longer than expected, contact Blockforia support at support@blockforia.com.
Once verified, your account is active and your purchase limits are set. New users can buy up to 15,000 EUR per month without any additional steps.
Once your account is verified and you are logged in, navigate to the purchase section of the Blockforia platform.
You will see a live Bitcoin price displayed in EUR. This price updates in real time as Bitcoin trades globally. The price you see is not yet locked. It becomes locked only when you proceed to confirm your specific transaction.
On this screen you will enter the amount you want to spend. You can enter it in EUR and the platform will show you exactly how much Bitcoin that amount buys at the current rate.
Take a moment to read what is shown before proceeding:
There are no additional charges after this screen. What you see is what you pay.
Select Visa or Mastercard as your payment method.
Enter your card details:
Double-check these before proceeding. An incorrect card number or CVV will cause the payment to fail and you will need to start again.
Your card details are processed through Blockforia’s payment processor and are not stored on the platform in full. The transaction uses standard 3D Secure authentication, which means your bank may send you a one-time code by SMS or prompt you to confirm the payment through your banking app. This is normal and is your bank’s security process, not a problem with Blockforia.
Before the transaction is finalised, you will see a confirmation screen showing:
Read this carefully. Once you click Confirm, the transaction is processed immediately. Bitcoin purchases on Blockforia cannot be reversed after confirmation.
If everything looks correct, click Confirm.
Your bank may ask you to authenticate the payment. Complete that step and the transaction will process.
Within seconds of confirming your purchase, the Bitcoin appears in your Blockforia wallet.
You will see:
Your Blockforia wallet is now holding your Bitcoin. You do not need to do anything else unless you want to.
From here you can:
There is no obligation to trade. Many people buy once and simply leave it in the wallet.
This step is not required to complete your first purchase but it is strongly recommended and should be done immediately after.
Two-factor authentication, commonly called 2FA, adds a second layer of security to your login. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without also having access to your 2FA code.
Blockforia supports 2FA via SMS (a code sent to your phone number) and via TOTP apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy. The TOTP app method is more secure than SMS.
To enable 2FA, go to your account security settings after logging in and follow the on-screen instructions. It takes about two minutes.
You have bought your first Bitcoin. Here is what most experienced buyers recommend doing next.
Write down your login credentials securely. Not on a sticky note on your monitor. In a password manager, or in a secure physical location. Losing access to your account means losing access to your Bitcoin.
Enable 2FA if you have not already. See the section above.
Do not check the price obsessively. Bitcoin’s price moves a lot. If you bought as a long-term hold, checking it every hour creates anxiety without changing anything. A weekly or monthly check is more aligned with a long-term approach.
Do not tell everyone you bought Bitcoin. This sounds unusual but it is standard security advice. People who know you hold Bitcoin are people who might try to access it. Keep your holdings private.
Consider the Vault for longer-term holds. If you bought Bitcoin intending to hold it for a year or more, use the Vault feature to set a withdrawal time-delay. It prevents you from selling impulsively during a price drop and makes your Bitcoin harder for anyone else to move quickly.
Most verifications are completed automatically within a few minutes. In some cases a manual review is needed and this may take longer. If your verification is pending for more than one business day, contact support@blockforia.com.
No. Identity verification is a legal requirement for all regulated platforms operating under EU anti-money laundering rules. It cannot be skipped on Blockforia or any other compliant platform in the EU.
Check that your card is enabled for online payments. Some bank-issued cards have online payments disabled by default and need to be activated through your bank’s app. Also check that the card details you entered are correct. If the issue persists, contact your bank or try a different card.
Yes. Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued by Bulgarian banks work on Blockforia. This includes cards from UniCredit Bulbank, DSK Bank, Postbank, and other Bulgarian banks that issue Visa or Mastercard cards.
Yes. New users can purchase up to 15,000 EUR per month without additional verification. If you need to buy above that threshold, Blockforia will ask you to complete enhanced due diligence, which includes providing further documentation about yourself and the source of your funds. This applies from 32,000 EUR per year onwards.
If you close the browser before confirming the transaction, the transaction does not proceed and you are not charged. If you close the browser after confirming but before seeing the success screen, check your email and your wallet balance. If Bitcoin has arrived in your wallet, the transaction completed successfully. If not, check with Blockforia support.
No. Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed once confirmed. This is a fundamental property of the Bitcoin network, not a Blockforia policy. Before you click Confirm, make sure everything on the confirmation screen is correct.
Log into your Blockforia account, navigate to the sell section, enter the amount you want to sell, and confirm. Funds are transferred to the bank account registered in your profile. The process is the reverse of buying and takes a similar amount of time.
